Now it's really happening... all the bad snowstorms that were going on in the rest of South europe, is now having it's go at Norway. It started to snow somewhere 10 o clock at saturday.. then stopped and continued again at about 3 o clock. And since then it didn't stop snowing anymore. According to www.yr.no it will continue to snow upto tuesday early morning.. and perhaps even beyond. The long term planning shows that also the 24th and 25th will have considerable amounts of snowfall. This makes me a little worried about my guests that will arrive for the 25th turkey dinner of Christmas, but perhaps road conditions approve over the coming hours. As for now we also have to be worried about the power. In parts of Oslo did last week the power go down because of heavy snowstorms and breaking electricity lines (yes those things on poles). I just saw the light flicker a few times and hope I can save this document safely before something would happen.
Snow is being removed with big trucks from the roads and even our driveway (after asking them to).

I wrote this article partly on saturday evening, and now on Sunday it is still snowing badly. The power did go off last night but went back on. News reached me that also in Holland they have a snowstorm, so actually the whole of europe + norway is having this bad weather. Nevertheless do I expect warmth for Europe while we will most likely keep the extreme cold temperatures and snowfall the coming days. Temperature has dropped again to -4 and will after the snowstorms most likely go back to -12. 

Digging out our car was a lot of work (in the morning) and I am afraid I can start soon again. Luckily do the cleaning services clean out our driveway.

At least we can be happy for having a white christmas this year!
