After the new year celebration it was suddenly about living in Sandnes (moving with four cats in the car is great fun I must tell you!) and doing your daily job. And that is a great difference for me.
I for example am much more quicker tired nowadays. I wake up at 6:30, get myself ready and leave latest 07:30. Luckily I do not have to remove ice or snow from the car as the car is standing in a garage. Then I drive to work and depending on the traffic on the road (yes it feels like Holland sometimes here, very busy on the roads) I arrive in about 20-30 minutes at my work.
Then my workday starts.. which can be heavy at times as I am still quite new to the things and have to get used to all their methods and procedures. I get a nice lunch at 11:30 in the office (you actually pay 20 kr per day for that I figured out later on my salary) with nice brown bread, ham, cheese, several vegetables (agurk, tomato, paprika, cucumber, sometimes also salad), several other things that are only to norwegians (brown cheese, mayonese based salads, swedish crackers, shrimps, mayonese and kaviar), and some sweet types such as jam, peanut butter and chocolate.
After lunch we all work on upto about 4pm and then we can go home (or choose to do some overtime hours that we can either spend later on freetime or in some cases get paid extra for).

So then sometimes I need to do a little bit of food shopping still and then drive home. Without (or with little) shopping I can be home at 4.30pm, in other cases at least an hour later.

Then at home we prepare the food together and have our dinner, sometimes just at the kitchen table, but lately again  near the TV so we can watch our favourite series on DVD or watch some real TV (Norwegian or Discovery).

After that we usually do some fun stuff, watch some more stuff, clean up the house, fix stuff around the house, or perform our hobbies (for Theresa: Storywriting, for Steven: programming own website projects) and in some cases we play some kind of PC game.

And yes... than at 11pm or so I feel too tired to do anything anymore and have to go to bed. That's how our days have turned out nowadays for at least the weekdays. The weekends are a little more relaxed as long as we don't have to drive to our family (4+ hours). Usually we shop on fridays so we don't have to bother with the stress on saturdays (it is really busy on saturdays!), but sometimes we like to go and look around anyway.

For the rest is it still quite cold here, lays there still a lot of snow around here, a lot of slippery ice around our house and are we just having fun around Stavanger and with our kitties in the house. We are renting from a very nice family that sometimes donates some wood for our fire as the winter is so cold and the wood so expensive (99 kroner for a 60L bag of wood!).

Theresa is very happy to have a job as well at a childcare center ('barnehage'). This will give her something to do and give us both some extra money to live off.

Oh and I am very happy I got my new driving license (Norwegian!), with which I am now also allowed to drive (glide?) a snowscooter and drive a (small) tractor, completely new style in creditcard format.

For those who were used to contact us on our housephone. The housephone in Kvinesdal has been unsubscribed. We do still have our Dutch (Hengelo) telephone number, our British (Manchester) telephone number and ofcourse our Norwegian mobile phones for emergencies. Feel free to do an inquiry if you forgot them. I do not display these on this website.
I hoped to upload photos but then our second camera broke down so now I just hope I can get a new camera sometime soon, but that will take a while I think. I do still have some photos that I should upload still. I also have made a little movie about our place (house), but I don't want to upload it to youtube, so I am looking into making new functionality on this website that gives me the option to upload a video to my own website and videoplayer and password protect it so that not everybody can view it.
Another thing that is going to happen quite soon I think, is that this website has to move to a new webserver. Will keep you updated might we go offline for a short or longer time. But a new server will also mean, new possibilities, better functionality etc. Have cool stuff coming.... when I have time to actually put that time into it, it is hard to do so when you have work on daytime.

Last week we had two visitors from Holland (Nick and Patrick). Both have enjoyed the quite wintery stay with us, our friends and they spend some nice time in Oslo. They made both beautiful pictures of our house and the environments, which I will receive tonight or tomorrow per FTP so I can upload a selection of that to our weblog. Something to look forward to I think!

Before easter we will have another friend over (Stefan, from Germany) for a few days. We are looking forward to that too.
