Det Snø!!! It is finally snowing. I said it would probably snow after new year. I hoped for the first of Januari in the morning, but there wasn't any then yet. Today (2nd of January) it started early morning. Now we have perhaps 5 cm snow. They expect a lot of snow coming week and weekend, so I will tease you all with wonderful snow pictures! haha Other than that I wish you all a very happy new year with lots of love and happiness and also a healthy new year. We managed the very busy December month and finally I found some time to update you all on that. So I bring you xx pictures in the photo albums Christmas 2007, Events, Norway Impressions, Us and Our House. At christmas time Theresa and I received a nice table for the flat from Lisa and Ivan, which we used during the 24th of December for our Christmas Eve dinner, which I wrote about in a previous post. The 25th we had a nice dinner and lots of presents for our flat and own pleasure. We had as desert Creme Brulee. At 23.45 we started firing off the fireworks to be able to see all the fireworks off others as well and to see the new year coming (we neither had a dish to receive any TV Channels). I am not sure whether we were too early or too late with saying happy new year. It's just that it's not that explosive as in Holland. There was nearly no difference between before twelve and after twelve o clock. Nevertheless we have seen many nice fireworks and made some video material of that. After firing off rockets and fountains and battery's we went to friend Kjell-Andre to wish them a happy new year and there we also continued our rockets firing. Ofcourse I had to introduce Kjell-Andre to the Oliebol, which he found a bit too oily, but nice. He said Norwegians don't do much with oil. Hmmm.. I have to think a bit about that one.. pommes frites, komper, pølse and what more.. yeah right! After Kjell-Andre we went to Sandvatn to see Laura and Hallvard (which were already to bed) and see to that the cats were alright. Than we went back to the flat to clean a bit up and to drink some 'Snowball' (Dutch Advocaat with Icecream and 7up/Sprite). Then to bed.. which was very welcome to us after a long day. And as said in the beginning of this post, the first of January no snow, but the second of January 5cm. They say it might become 70cm with a huge blizzard/snowstorm over week. Now back to work. |
