I saw the last couple of weeks two similar discussions rising in both Holland and Norway. Shall we restrict the fireworks sales next year more, shall we forbid all fireworks. Politics is very busy with rules. Rules, rules rules and more rules. And we have to live with them.

To live in Norway and to be in their system, you have to have a bruto income of 170.000 nok (20.000 euro). That's my job now to get done. Choosing whether my company is going to make that money or whether I have to go 50% company 50% find a nice job that will take care of that.

And what about garbage control, recycling as we call it with a nice word. How is that in Norway? I discussed that about a year ago in my Steven in Norway weblog. It is a real chaos, they want you to seperate nearly everything. Glass, tins, paper, plastics, milkcartons, bio, chemical, bottles with a refund, tins with a refund. Got a nice concept laying around here for any company to pick it up or the kommune.

Basicly we are daily more busy with following rules, than with living our lives. And it get's only worse by the year.

In case of the rules around traffic, alcohol, drugs and for example the firework it is all caused by some kind of idiot who cannot live with rules anyway. And because of these idiots rules get worse.

In Norway you cannot buy alcohol past 20.00, you have to be 18 for any type of alcohol, some stronger types even 23. If you are under 25 they will even ask you for your identitycards, because they can't see the difference in age. And even if you are older and all that and you got your alcohol, when you drink it, you are seen as an alcoholic. All because of the rules and restrictions, people act differently. 

Norway restricted the fireworks sales to the last two days (29th and 31st). Still we got many accidents and fires. They are now talking about not selling rockets by next year or are perhaps completely forbidding fireworks.

Who knows what will happen next.
