Steady progress. Spring is slowly coming, things seem to be more positive slowly on our side. More jobs on the market and Theresa started a couple of things that will make things easier in the future. Spring makes people usually a bit more positive anyway, so that snow started to thaw is a good start of that. Theresa has now finished her four theoretical lessons of Trafikalt grunnkurs (traffic basics course). Rather said, she nearly finished it, next wednesday she will be in a car for two hours driving around Lyngdal. This is part of the course and it's called Mørkekjøring (night driving). She will not be driving herself, but will be driven by a teacher and will join 3 others in the car to listen to whatever is important about nightdriving (you learn in my opinion more when you drive yourself, but alright). As soon as she has finished this, she will receive a note that she has finished this small course and then she can start driving. That means that she can officially use the L-plate on normal cars, but she can also start driving with the driving school and hopefully she can soon finish that course + the theory course + the driving exam. Also Theresa has been allowed in the study Webdesign and Animation of the ecademy online school (located in Oslo). She starts for real coming monday and has already access to the online learning system It's Learning. This course will run til the beginning of Autumn (October). On the jobmarket side there seem to be more and more job offers opening up that hopefully will give me finally a job. I have recently sent a lot of applications and will do more in the coming days to keep it running. To schedule our busy lives a bit more, we made a cleaninglist that tells us each day what has to be done. It's quite hectic to clean a house when you are so busy with so many things, but also have 6 cats running in your house and it simply needs to be done. Good thing: I described every cleaning part in detail, so even if we have guests, they will know what to do and in what way (sarcasm). In April we will have friends over for visit that we know for several years through an online game. They will stay for about 1 week. We are looking forward to their stay. Now the weather is starting to be nice, we try to move a bit more (sitting behind pc's isn't that good and with the distances in Norway, you're more in a car than that you walk or bike), so we try to make middle-long walks a couple of times a week and do our situps and pushups (and other muscle trainings) where possible. Nearly every weekend we have Giovanna, an au-pair from Lima (Peru), over for the weekend with which we either shop around and generally have fun with. She has a hectic week with four little kids (the same that Theresa had to work with back in augustus, november and december) and wants some time off to relax and enjoy Norway. So we take her with on our normal weekend things (visiting family and friends) and we make nice meals at home and watch movies or TV, make walks etc. She also makes use of our Skype telephoneline so she can call cheaply to her mother and father. Tomorrow (friday) we will visit a friend and have a Taco dinner there, saturday we will have Giovanna at our place who wants to buy a laptop somewhere and we will have a nice meal again. This time I have bought some dinner set for chinese food and Indian food, enough for saturday and sunday. So concluding: Theresa's driving course, Theresa's webdesign course, more jobs on the market, positive spring coming in, cleaning the house, sports and socializing a lot, gives us a steady progress. |
