While in Holland we also try to organise stuff in Norway. We have to anyway, where do you go with your truck otherwise?
We found a flat in Faråd (do I write it right Theresa?) in Kvinesdal. It will be at Faråsvegen 20, 4480 Kvinesdal (Vest-Agder), Norway. On 23rd of November 2007 I will move together with Theresa to Norway. The truck will be loaded the 23rd of November 2007 and about 27th of November be unloaded in Norway in our new flat. Wij rijden waarschijnlijk maandag 26 terug naar Noorwegen. More information comes slowly available. Hereby a few photos and a small routeplan to our flat.
The green arrow shows the road Faråsvegen, but not our flat itself. That should be a bit higher on the road. Currently I do not know how much further up. We need to know soon how width the roads are and of what substance, the truck of 18 meters need to know if they can turn around etc. The yellow road Farmonen that you see there is the road that you take to Kvinesdal from the E39 highway. You come from the bottom of the picture in the direction of the centre Liknes on the right side of the water on the picture. Our flat is actually on a hillslope and looks out over either Øye or Liknes. On the right side of the road you see the stadion or the chinese restaurant. At our road you should see a bus stop. Our flat is (as far as we know currently) on the ground level. The only step/stairs we will have is for snow prevention to get on the wooden gallery of the flat. In the gallery you will find our door, doorbell and doormat. There are currently no photos available of the flat. The flat is completely build out of wood. At the front door you come in a hall with on one side the bathroom with toilet, bath and sink. Also room for a washing machine /dryer unit. bathroom Than the next door is a storage room for the hot water kettle and also the (!) central vacuum cleaning unit (luxury!). storageroom/central vacuumcleaning unit / hot water and on the other side two sleepingrooms (1 visitor room and one sleepingroom for us, visitorroom could also become office) sleepingroom 1 sleepingroom 2; (other gardrobes, for visitors probably) Then there is a door to the livingroom with open kitchen. There is a lot of space for an eating place in the kitchen and a livingroom place for the.. well..livingroom. Funny: kitchen seems to be on the left and livingroom on the right. Have seen this mirrored at a friends place. That could mean that the bathroom is on the right and the sleepingrooms on the left. Weird. kitchen In the livingroom is another door outside to the balcony! On the balcony we can enjoy the snow... or the sun and being covered by a roof. I wonder if we are on the sun side or the shadow side of the mountain. Probably this balcony is also the place for our satelite dishes to receive Dutch, Norwegian, English and German television and radio broadcasts. The livingroom has one electrical heater at the walls installed. Probably have to buy one or two more. I wonder what our electricity bill will be like in the winter. A picture out of the kitchen taken towards the livingroom. Not too good photos, but the best photos will come from the time we live there. Nice ey?! a balcony! The boss of the flats took the photos at night it seems, so we do not have pictures yet of the view. In the kitchen is a place for a stove/oven combination. The kitchen is half open with a small wall seperating kitchen from livingroom. The flat has a total size of about 70-85 square meter. It also has a storageroom on the gallery outside for your bikes etc. In front of the flats is a good space for turning your car around and parking your car or that of your visitors. Ofcourse we are going to show you more nice pictures of our new flat. With this I invite everyone to spend your holidays in Norway and to book a room in our visitor sleepingroom.
