It started for us on wednesday the 20th, one day before the Easter time in Norway (maundy thursday, good friday are both free days in Christian Norway). We were delivered to the airport by our neighbour Birger at 10. We had ofcourse checked in the day before on the internet, so it was only a drop off for us, whereafter we had our breakfast. During our holiday a friend of Theresa would take care of the kitties, which went all well. We flew at 12 and went via Amsterdam to Manchester to arrive with time difference included a little over 3pm where we were picked up by father Chris and his wife and Simba (the dog). They had rented a car so it was a little easier to move around with so many people.

At first we spend some time home and talked and had ofcourse... TEA... Something we learned to drink a lot again that week. Than we went out for a nice walk in nature with the dog who urgently needed a bath (read: canal and swamp jump).

After a dinner at Chris and Stellas' we took the car to Ann and Allans' place where we would spend most of our time that week, our sleeping address so to say.
Ann and Allan were happy to meet us again and had a nice doublebed room available for us.

The day after we went for a visit at a castle, Flint Castle in Flint, just over the border to Wales, close to Liverpool. You have to know that we had really beautyfull weather with lots of sunshine and a temperature of 28 degrees celsius at most of the days.

We visited many friends and family the days after. On saturday we had a great party with most of our family present at Tonys'. I made two of my favourite salats to accompany the BBQ food we had together. Lot's of photos have been made during our visit, which are spread over facebook and some have been temporarily uploaded to a website. I will not recall this website, as I am going to take that soon offline to upload a selection of the pictures to our weblog gallery.

Sunday and Monday we visited Moira and Roy in Lancaster. They picked us up at sunday evening and brought us home monday evening. We know them through online games for more than 4 years (LOTRO). They have shown us their house, their family, their dog and Lancaster including Lancaster Castle (which has been a prison until May last year). We also had a nice walk in the park with traditional English icecream. It was concluded with a fantastic dinner at their home, whereafter we were delivered home again.
The days after we visited some more family, fixed up PCs, drove on the back of a motorbike of Allan (with Allan driving them ofcourse), a real old classic Triumph, and took a nice massage at a specialist.

We thanked some of our family with flowers and slept the last evening/night at Chris and Stellas' to make it easier for being delivered back to Manchester airport.

After a long wait (2+hours), full body scans, massages from fishies and 2 flights, we arrived savely in Norway again where we were picked up and brought home by Torfinn Brokke, a friend of us who lives literally at Sola Airport. We met up with our kitties, unpacked our stuff, cleaned the cat toilets and hall, checked facebook and went to bed after a nice holiday.
