We just had our Christmas Eve (24th) and our Christmas day (25th) celebrations with our Norwegian family.

It started with Christmas Eve, or evening, which is officially the Norwegian Christmas celebration time. We had a very nice dinner with Kneudel and filled rolladen and Julebrus in our flat. Finally the flat is really used by many people. I and Theresa went a bit earlier in the afternoon to clean up the room a bit more before it could be used. While waiting for the dinner we were watching Simpsons on the dvdplayer and tv or cleaning up or doing the laundry with the new washing machine. After dinner we did the dishes and went to Sandvatn for the desert 'Nokkel' (Ostereich) made by Lisa (2 dishes, 12 eggs). Very delicious!

Today the 25th it started with SNOW! Well, it didn't stay really, but it was a nice thing to wake up with to see at least. It was wet snow (sleet), but the snow did stay on higher parts, like the mountain that is 100-200m higher than our place in Sandvatn. We had half the day the preparations for the dinner. Then at 2.30pm I picked Ivan up (husband of Lisa) from his family (there where our flat is), whereafter we started unpacking our presents. So many! Did you see the picture in album Events? Did you count them? No? Do so.. if you know the amount you might win something. Anyway many nice presents were unpacked and we are all very happy!
At the evening we had ofcourse a fantastic dinner with real Turkey and sprouts and potatoes (and not to forget cranberry jam).

Tomorrow another day free and then work starts again for a few days until we will start the new year celebrations, which we probably will do in the flat.
