Electric car vs. normal car

The whole world is doing stuff around CO2 emission now. Holland makes new car's more expensive, unless it's a hydro, electric or diesel. Everything above 200mg co2 emission also gets more expensive on taxes.

Similar things are happening in Norway. Though, Norway is a country who is also actively working on a solution. They are building several hydro tankstations, to start with Oslo and Stavanger and perhaps one here in Lyngdal and Kristiansand soon too. Electric and hydro cars will get you less taxmoney to pay, so perhaps there is hope.
I see one day that Norway prohibits gas cars and only allows co2 zero emission cars, with a few exceptions.

In that case we put an electro or hydro engine into our Mitsubishi Galant!

If you wonder about the maximum speed and time to get to 100 with such a car, than you should definitely see the following movie linked in our video album inventions.

It shows you the race, between a Ferrari, a Porsche and a prototype of a new Electric Race car. Amazing!

I wonder what the reason is though for putting taxes higher? Will people stop driving a car if that happens? Answer: No. Perhaps around cities or in Holland where Public Transport is way better, but not outside the cities and definitely not in Norway or big countries such as the USA. So what is this higher tax all about. I think it has to do with that rule they made with the global warming project, that they have to bring co2 emission down per country. If they don't make it before well 2012, than they will get a fine from (ehh yeah from who). And who pays that fine? Right! That extra tax money that was collected from us. The problem with this all is that the poor people who HAVE to have a car, are feeling it in their wallet and the rich people who have plenty of money and don't care about CO2 emission, live in big cities etc just pay that extra for their own fun (the car's). So did this all help? No. Maybe they will use the extra collected tax money to make the dykes (dijken) higher!

I think that in general these lectric motors are not very fast, unless you buy them very expensive. But: of course they don't have to be very fast... They bring you from one point to another and they'd better do it cheap as far as I'm concerned... Another thing: How do they get the energy (hydrogen, electricity) to feed the cars? If it's one by burning coal, oil or waste, it's still CO2 emissing. Best would be to make electricity from wind- or sun-energy. ever heard of the air-car? check it out...It will amaze you. runs on compressed air, costs around 7000 dollars and runs about 200 km on a tank of AIR! a refill would cost you 1 dollar 50... Hydrogen Elec cars use electricity to run. Than after a while the hydrogen engine starts to charge the batteries while driving. Something like that. Sounds a bit stupid in a way though to me. Yeah at the moment they use quite some normal power for battery charging (at home or in station) or refilling hydrogen tanks. And well with current power rules (green+grey) is that a little mixed still. Ofcourse thisshould be all green in future. In Norway they have mostly green power, but still some gray in some places. Here in Kvinesdal the nearby iron melting company reuses their heat for a power turbine. It delivers enough power for this community. Many places in Norway use Wind and water energy, because of the mountains and windpower that is for free. Also suncells. Norway is against nuclear and Gasburning for powergeneration. It just means that more countries should invest money in alternative power generation. Norway also announced a 300 million NOK investment this year and next year in alternative energy. Oh and in Norway the speed limit is 80km/h in most roads, only the highways are 120km/h, but there are only a few highways and of only a few km (Stavanger and Oslo region). For Cities it's 50-70km/h, so no, you don't need to go fast as long as it brings you from A to B. Fun thing of a electric car? You can have RINGTONES ... as your engine nearly doesn't produce any sound anymore. Ringtone for your beep, ringtone for your engine sound. So you hear a corvette coming and it has only a small electromotor. Report as spam!
