The new job is at InBusiness AS in Stavanger, a ColdFusion web development company. ColdFusion is a web programming language where information from for example databases are combined with the design on a website. ColdFusion is similar to ASP, PHP, JSP (and many other web languages).

InBusiness is registered as company since 1996 and has only worked with ColdFusion sofar. They sell some kind of CMS system called I-Tools and have sold over 1800 websites sofar. Even within the economical crisis they have been hiring new people and seem to go strong still.

Four weeks ago I did start as webprogrammer at InBusiness as a little trial project. I said that I was the senior they were looking for and they wanted to see how senior I really was.

This has now resulted in hiring me from January 2010 with a new trial time of 6 months (by law). And that is great news, although I can still not really believe it myself. I am sure that will change when we find a place to live near Stavanger in the coming month and when I start for real in January.

As for the month december I will be mostly busy with getting paperwork done and by trying to get a new flat or house sorted. Lot's to do there still. Aside from that I can fill a couple of hours of work with the same InBusiness company to earn some extra for the expensive December month to come. I suppose I will do also some other work wherever that is available, just to be able to buy a christmas present or two.

For those (nearly) going to forget it: my birthday is also soon, at the 7th of December (I'm actually quite happy that I will be home with Theresa that day instead of being apart from her like the last four weeks in Stavanger.

Hmm now that I have this job, I wonder if I need to give some drinks or food to you all. Ah yeah you can come and pick it up here! haha!

Past weeks have been also quite busy because in Sandvatn (Kvinesdal) our house was being repaired. First it was just a broken sewerpipe. It grew quickly out as a blockage, leakage etc. so they had to remove the floor in the bathroom, change all the sewerpipes and waterlines, renew the bathroom floor, renew the ceiling in the lounge etc. And that came as an expensive surprise to the family since we had already a plannning for a new electricity box and some repairments on the roof. Well it came now to it that we have a completely new bathroom with new equipment (and floorheating!) and new electricity lines and a new ceiling and new pipes.. and the roof still needs to be done.

And then the news of this new job came.... so lucky we are. But it means automatically that our house in Kvinesdal becomes a holiday house of the family (was anyway a family house) and that we will have to move to Stavanger.

But luckily we can now enjoy the new upgraded house still for at least the whole December month including Christmas.

So, let's all wish Steven a great time at his new job and wish both Steven and Theresa that they will find a good place to live and build up their lives for real!
